Christopher Watkin holds a PhD in modern French philosophy from Cambridge University. After lecturing at Cambridge he moved to Australia and now teaches at Monash University in Melbourne, where he lives with his wife Alison and their two children. He is the author of ten books, including Biblical Critical Theory: How the Bible's Story Makes Sense of Modern Life and Culture (Zondervan Academic, 2022), and Thinking Through Creation: Genesis 1 and 2 as Tools of Cultural Critique (P&R, 2017), as well as volumes on Derrida (2017), Foucault (2018) and Deleuze (2021) in the P&R ‘Great Thinkers’ series.
